Cost: £200 (£220 for Non-members)
Tutor: Wenderlynn Bagnall

The course will cover the following:

Our introduction course goes beyond the garden and offers the opportunity to share knowledge on social permaculture. This gives you an holistic experience showing how the basic theory and the practical application of permaculture can be used in your personal life, at home, in your community and for wellbeing. We have created a third day especially to cover the social aspect, using our valuable experiences and interaction with nature to inspire us.

Permaculture is a natural design science mimicking the patterns of nature. It can be used to help build regenerative and resilient landscapes and communities. It is a solutions based, systems thinking design process. The aim is to bring together a set of specific elements which, when designed in the right way, can help create sustainable economic and ecological systems.

This 3 day intensive will introduce you to the basic ethics and principles of permaculture and systems thinking, introducing you to a variety of innovative tools. No knowledge of permaculture is necessary in order to attend this course.

Most of our courses are aimed at adults and are quite intensive, so they are not aimed at children. If you would like to bring a child on a course please discuss it with the training manager before booking. It is assumed that bookings you make are for adults. Only people who have paid the course fee are allowed at the training venue. Do not bring pets or other animals to the training venue unless you are required to do so as part of the course. Most venues are working smallholdings and dogs or other animals (even if left in your car) are disruptive and compromise biosecurity.
